The first litter at Timberline was born in 1995. We had been involved with showing for a few years prior to actually venturing into breeding. We bought our first show dog, a handsome boy we called "Sonny" who graces the front page of our website, around 1993. He did some winning, and had a fantastic temperament and we enjoyed his company very much. When Sonny was two years of age we added "Kelly" to the family, aka Multi-group winning, BPIS Ch. Anaheim's Uptown Girl, an amazing show dog, and great companion and protector, who we lost to cancer this year at age 12. While we first ventured out with a professional handler on Kelly, Tony eventually got up enough confidence to try it himself, and from Kelly, on, he has owner-handled all of our dogs.

At the same time we were enjoying showing Kelly, we found ourselves with a brand new girl, who was two years of age and looking for a home as a brood bitch. With her excellent structure, fantastic, strong temperament, and a sound, healthy background behind her, "Whiskey" became part of the foundation of Timberline, and her line is still around today, with the recent addition of Ch. Ebonypaw's Perfect Alibi OVC, a Whiskey great-grandaughter. In 1997 we received a phone call regarding a female show prospect from Kelly's breeder. While there, Tony spotted a beautiful male in the kennels. He had been returned by his owners who had divorced and could not decide who should get him. His name was "Hudson." As Tony loaded him in the truck he could not believe that this dog would be coming home to live with us. He was 18 mos old and had more attitude and presence than any dog we'd ever seen before. He would play ball all day long, and would scale 5 ft fences, picnic benches, and everything else you could think of to get to that ball. He was so intelligent you could just see the wheels turning in his head. He was a gentle giant with our puppies, rolling all over with them, he was a big puppy himself. Hudson finished his championship quickly and went on to a few group placements including a Group 2nd, while shown as a Special. He is also the sire of 8 CKC champions, including: Ch. Lynlane's Brandy OVC Ch. Timberline's Dr Becker V Zarko OVC Ch. Timberline's Diablo's Thunder OVC Ch. Timberline's Heaven's Thunder Ch. Timberline's Tasha Westenberg OVC Ch. Timberline's Mia of Ebonypaw Ch. Timberline's Grand Duchess Ch. Timberline's Thundrbolt Atlaheim Hudson's most successful litters were linebreedings on his father and uncle, Sel Ch's Anaheim's Bronson OFA and Anaheim's Brigadier OFA. Our bloodlines are based on this very successful combination. We lost Hudson to cancer this year, a few months short of his 13th birthday. He is sadly missed!

In more recent years, we have begun adding in some new bloodlines. While we have loved our Hudson progeny, we know its time to move on through his sons and daughters. Our current bloodlines, in addition to our Hudson progeny, include the sons and daughters of our beloved, "Chyna", Ch. Survival's Indecision Timberline OVC. Now retired from breeding, she has given us more than we could have ever asked for. She currently has 6 champion progeny to her credit, with her youngest litters still to hit the ring., Her champions include: Ch. Timberline's Mum Sayz Ima Keeper OFA Ch. Timberline's Thundrbolt Atlaheim Ch. Timberline Rainin' Over Phoenix OFA Ch. Timberline's Cale of Sonoma OVC Ch. Timberline's Keltie Ch. Timberline's Bourne Supremacy A daughter of GV Ch. Caraland's Unlimited CD TC OFA, Chyna brings the stable, sound temperament her bloodlines are known for (albeit they do inherit their mother's stubborn will...) Her kids are blessed with beautiful bone, coat, rich pigment, beautiful headpieces, intelligence, nobility and they have beautiful outreaching sidegaits. They possess their mother's enthusiastic outlook on life, and are loving, and rather humourous companions! We have also been very blessed to have had the opportunity to have had the companionship of the wonderful, Ch. BrownHill-Kysarah's Was'n Me OVC H/E, aka "Kess". Kess is now retired, and living a very happy life with her new mom, Debbie Hutton in North Bay. Kess gave us 4 beautiful champions to carry on her name, and her grandchildren are already looking extremely promising! Kess' four champions, all sired by FV Ch. BrownHill-Kysarah's Maricio, are included below: Ch. Timberline's Remember The Titans (H/E Prelims) Ch. Timberline's Memphis V Lynlanes OVC H/E Ch. Timberline's Kindling BrownHill Ch. Timberline's Misty of Marvel OVC Finally, we have had the exciting experience of co-owning, raising, training and loving the 2006 Canadian Futurity Victor, the wonderful "Eddie", who is the best friend of our youngest daughter Rachel. Eddie was bred by Emily St. Hilaire and Frank de Bem, and is co-owned with Emily. While his show career has been fun, his breeding career has simply been incredible! He is now the sire of 7 CKC Champions, at only 3 years of age, with many more promising puppies still coming. He is close to his ROMC, with his daughter "Kindle" currently working on her Companion dog title. Eddie's Champions include: Ch. Timberline's Memphis V Lynlanes OVC Ch. Timberline's Cale of Sonoma OVC Ch. Timberline's Misty of Marvel OVC Ch. Timberline's Kindling BrownHill Ch. Timberline's Keltie Ch. Timberline's Remember The Titans Ch. Timberline's Bourne Supremacy
More about us......
We have four children, and our home greeting committee is made up of 3 housedogs, Shelties "Solo" and "Tia" and GSD, "Keeper". We also have a thoroughbred named "Diamond" (16 years old) and an Arab-Morgan cross named "Gem" (4 1/2) that Rachel rides. Tony is a Real Estate agent with Royal LePage State Realty. We live in a rural area surrounded by hundreds of acres of open farm fields. Our dogs love having the run of all this space, and we often take them for walks in the wooded areas around our house. We have large outdoor kennel runs, but every dog comes in at night to our converted "Dog Room", which used to be the garage...now it is a heated/airconditioned sleeping, feeding and grooming area for the dogs. Our litters are born and raised in our home in our custom-built whelping room.. As you can see by the photos below, we give lots of swimming lessons during the summer, and we are looking into a bigger pool as an investment.... We enjoy the dogs immensely. We love raising litters, and experiencing the close relationship with our puppy owners, many of whom have become our friends over the years. The shows we attend have been a great pastime for us, and we find dog shows to be something that both we, and the dogs enjoy a lot. We are very friendly, and easy to get along with, and we welcome phone calls or visits to the kennel with an appointment. We hope you enjoy the website, and the dogs, and feel free to contact us about any upcoming litters, companion puppies, show prospects, or anything else!
